  • If posted on the SWCC & SECC website, or any SWCC & SECC social media channel, I understand that my image could be downloaded by any computer user with internet access. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organizers of SWCC Expo, it's officers, agents, and employees from any claims.
  • Images of Exhibitors, attendees, staff or celebrity presenters will not be used or sold for advertising or commercial use of any kind, without the express written consent of SWCC & SECC Media Management.
  • Images may be displayed on the photographer's website, in art gallery displays and in photographers portfolio. All images will be clearly identified as taken at SWCC & SECC events with a link to the event website, SWCC & SECC prominently displayed on the web page or accompanying gallery display cards or portfolio listing.
  • Images may be used in news or editorial context in print, digital or broadcast media without prior notice to SWCC & SECC, however, tear sheets and/or video or dvd record of any use must be submitted to SWCC & SECC for record keeping.
  • The photos I provide to SWCC & SECC may be used in digital and print media, advertising and other similar manners.

Please make sure you read and understand the following policy before submitting your request.

Southwest Event Group LLC (SWCC Expo), LLC (“SWCC Expo”) may issue media and photo credentials (“media credentials”) to cover one or all of any SWCC Expo events (the “Events”).
SWCC Expo will, at its sole discretion, select the media outlets it believes are best positioned to provide media coverage of the Events. This media credentials agreement has been established to provide you with an understanding of the rights and restrictions associated with SWCC Expo media credentials.

To request media credentials, you must complete and submit the SWCC Expo pass request form by the deadline. After submitting, you should receive a confirmation that the submittal was successful. If you do not, please re-submit.
No requests will be accepted after the deadline has passed. SWCC Expo staff will do its best to respond to all requests within a week of submittal. To check on the status of your request, you may email the SWCC Expo Media Manager at,
(**NOTE: Personal page publishers, discussion board/chat rooms, subscription-only sites, financial analysis, sales, advertising, marketing, public relations personnel, consultants, researchers, press group representatives, and other individuals who perform administrative roles are not considered media and are not eligible to receive media passes.)

To qualify as media, you must prove employment as media. SWCC Expo reserves the right to deny credentials to anyone claiming to work for a media outlet that cannot be verified as being a legitimate outlet, or anyone who cannot be verified as being a legitimate journalist member of a media outlet.
Staff or freelance reporters/photographers: If you are a staff reporter, staff photographer or a freelance journalist on assignment for an established print or broadcast media outlet, you must provide us with written verification (from the media outlet—on letterhead, if possible) of the assignment to cover the Event. You may also be asked to provide previous work relating to coverage of SWCC Expo, or other related industry events.
Website-only journalists: You may be granted media credentials provided that, 1) the website has a demonstrated record of original cannabis industry news content, 2) the website’s staff writes an overwhelming percentage of that website’s material, and/or 3) the website can provide certifiable visitor traffic statistics on the credential request form for review.
Photographers or videographers:
Preference is given to photographers or videographers with “professional grade” equipment and significant experience shooting trade shows and business events.
SWCC Expo gives preference to photographers or videographers, in the following order:
1. those who have attended SWCC Expo events in the past and who have shared their photos with SWCC Expo
2. those regarded as a highly-qualified photographer or videographers within the cannabis business trade show and b2b expo circuit community

SWCC Expo classifies media credential recipients into three (3) different categories. All of these categories include access to media-only areas. (**Please note that anytime this agreement refers to “media credentials,” it is referring to recipients under ALL of the following categories):
1. Media (M) – Those verified as working for accredited media outlets. “M” classification grants a complimentary spectator pass good for all SWCC Expo Events.
2. Photographer (P) – Those verified as legitimate photographers with “professional grade” equipment, or who have shared at least 100 of their photographs taken at a previous SWCC Expo. “P” classification grants a complimentary spectator pass good for all SWCC Expo Events.
3. Permission to Shoot (S) – Those who are not verified as working for accredited media outlets, a legitimate photographer with “professional grade” equipment, or who has not shared their photographs of a previous SWCC Expo. (**Please note: “S” classification does not grant a complimentary pass)
“Comped” admission is at the discretion of SWCC Expo. SWCC Expo may restrict the use of any equipment at its sole discretion.
Once you have submitted a media credentials request, an acceptance or rejection e-mail will be sent to the email address you provided. If SWCC Expo grants you credentials, you will be given information about when and where to pick up those credentials.

SWCC Expo has exclusive broadcast rights to all SWCC Expo events and works closely with its official broadcast partner(s) (the “SWCC Expo Official Broadcaster”). No camera crews other than those of SWCC Expo or the SWCC Expo Official Broadcaster will be allowed to film or broadcast the event.
Television, Film, and Video production companies: You must submit a written request to film at least 3 weeks prior to the beginning of the event. The request should include:

  • Information about the company
  • Synopsis of the show/film/video/etc.
  • Information about backers of the project
  • Intended distribution methods

Companies intending to produce material for internal use only or for marketing, advertising, or public relations purposes may not register as media.
You may not use, distribute, exhibit, reproduce, adapt, display, or publish any audio or visual accounts of the Event(s), other than in the manner described below. Nothing in this media credentials agreement authorizes or allows you to violate any trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights of SWCC Expo.

The photos you take at an Event are your property. As a condition of your approved media credentials, your application grants permission to SWCC Expo to use photographs you have taken to be displayed on the SWCC Expo website or in SWCC Expo advertising, with credit to you as stated in your request application. You grant SWCC Expo the right to crop or treat the photographs. Every reasonable effort will be made to contact you to ask specific permission and notify you of any request to use your photos outside the SWCC Expo website. You agree to provide low-resolution copies or web links to copies of photos taken at SWCC Expo for display on the SWCC Expo website and agree to provide high-resolution copies for photos when requested for use in SWCC Expo print advertisements. If you have been issued media credentials, you have a limited, non-exclusive, and nontransferable license to take and use photographs of the Event, as long as such use does not imply an endorsement or sponsorship relationship between a third-party and SWCC Expo.
All SWCC Expo attendees sign the digital equivalent of a media waiver when they purchase their SWCC Expo passes. The waiver acts as a model release for our photographers. There are also signs posted at the venue that notify every person that enters that they are agreeing to be photographed.
You understand that any commercial sale of images from the Event will require model releases from any identifiable person in the image. You are responsible for obtaining the proper releases. SWCC Expo photos may not be sold for use as stock photography. Prints may only be sold by the photographers at SWCC Expo if the photographer has a vendor booth.
You agree not to post photographs that are not in the spirit of SWCC Expo values. This includes, but is not limited to, posting images to websites that rely heavily on nudity, sexual content, violence, obscenity, and/or websites that advocate illegal behavior or discrimination based on race, gender, and/or sexual orientation. Absolutely no photos that contain nudity – intentional or otherwise – may be published or sold.

All SWCC Expo attendees—including media and photographers—are required to have their SWCC Expo pass and a form of government-issued photo identification on them at all times during the convention. Credentials and passes are non-transferable; you may not give or loan your credentials or pass to another person for any reason.
If you are issued media credentials under any category, you will have access to areas where media credential access is provided. Additionally, if asked by SWCC Expo staff, security or officials to vacate an area, please do so promptly.
Credentials do not guarantee you unrestricted access to all areas. Backstage and back of exhibitor display areas are off-limits to all credential holders. SWCC Expo staff reserves the right to designate any event or area as “closed to media.” No media credential access will be allowed into such events or areas.
You will make every effort to avoid obstructing the view or impacting the safety of any attendee, exhibitor, staff, and/or other attendees of Events.
Anyone granted media credentials is expected to behave in a professional manner while at SWCC Expo. Inappropriate behavior, misuse of media credentials and/or misuse of SWCC Expo passes may result in immediate loss of media credentials and/or SWCC Expo pass, removal from convention grounds, denial of media credentials for future SWCC Expo events, and/or banning from future SWCC Expo events.

You assume all risk and danger incidental to the event, as well as any risk or danger reasonably foreseeable while on the grounds of the venue, and you release SWCC Expo, its employees, members, directors, officers, host sites, title sponsors, participating exhibitors, volunteers, assigns, and all agents thereof from any and all liabilities resulting from injuries or personal property loss occurring before, during or after actual Event, or while otherwise at the Event venue or any associated SWCC Expo events.

You jointly and severally indemnify, defend, and hold SWCC Expo (and its officers, directors, and representatives) harmless from and against any and all claims, actions, damages, liabilities, costs or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs of suit/arbitration) arising out of or in connection with any act or omission by you, including, without limitation, your breach of any term of this agreement.
With respect to any claim that might give rise to your liability as an Indemnitor, SWCC Expo will (a) have the right to fully participate in the litigation of such claim with counsel selected by you or your organization, and approved by SWCC Expo, at no expense to SWCC Expo; and (b) not be obligated, without its consent, to participate in any settlement of such claim.

Submission of your request and acceptance and use of SWCC Expo events credentials constitutes your agreement to abide by the terms and conditions contained herein. Failure to abide by the terms and conditions will result in loss of your media credentials for these events and future SWCC Expo events.
